To Kill A Mockingbird is a novel by Harper Lee taking place in Maycomb, Alabama during the Great Depression. It is told in the point of view of Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, a young girl growing from six to eight years old throughout the course of the book. The story follows her as she and her brother, Jem, and their summer friend, Dill, try to learn about their mysterious neighbor, Boo Radley, who rumor says is a madman. On top of that, Scout's father, Atticus, is an attorney striving to defend a black man, which earns him and his family lots of negativity. Follow Scout throughout this story as she matures and learns more about the society around her.
